When installing a seat belt where it was not previously installed or if the factory underbody reinforcement plates are damaged or missing it is suggested that an RB1 underbody reinforcement plate with attached weld nut be used to add support to all of the mounting points.Webbing colors tend to vary from mill run to mill run therefore a match to upholstery or carpet can not be guaranteed.


The specialty child restraint listed is manufacture certified to meet or exceed all the current FMVSS209 and FMVSS302 seat belt safety regulations. Some of the applications for this specialty belt include the securing of a rear seat mounted booster seat or to secure a child on a school bus or shuttle van that is not equipped with factory installed seat belts.In order to utilize this child restraint on a school bus or shuttle van the buckle end sides need to be pre-mounted to each side of the seat or on to the floor on the side of the seat. To use, a parent, driver or user would insert each end of the removable lap belt in to the pre-mounted buckle ends and then adjust each end to fit.

In the event the user needs to be removed from the seat during an emergency, the buckle ends have top release push buttons which are easier to access to release by others than standard side release push button buckles.

Specifications
  • Each of the buckle end sides measure 10 1/2" long.
  • The anchor end fitting on the buckle end sides are flat for easy of mounting.
  • The removable lap belt adjusts to 51" long with adjustability on both ends.
  • All of the plastic pieces are black regardless of the webbing color.
  • Requires one MH2 bolt kit per belt for mounting.
  • Mounting brackets and extension are listed that may be required to adjust where the buckle end fitting mounts.
  • If a bracket or extension is being used, one additional MH2 bolt kit will mount 2 brackets.
