All of the seat belts that we offer have been manufactured to meet or exceed FMVSS(U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) 209,302 and SAE 386.

Excluding our specialty seat belt product line, all of the seat belts that we sell are an aftermarket universal fit and use product sold as a complete set less mounting hardware for one person that can be used in the rear or for either the front driver or passenger and are not vehicle or application specific so we are not able to provide compatibility for a specific vehicle year, make or model. In most cases, installation will consist of removing the existing seat belts and then bolting in the new seat belts using existing mounting locations. If underbody reinforcement plates have been removed or were not factory installed, mounting locations must be reinforced before installing seat belts.

U.S. passenger car manufactures starting in 1962 installed seat belt mounting points for two front lap seat belts. In 1964 most U.S. passenger car manufactures supplied installed two front lap seat belts. As of January 1968 all U.S. passenger car and light truck manufacturers were required to install front lap seat belts and shoulder harness seat belts for the driver and passengers side (except convertibles) plus lap seat belt mounting points at all other seating positions. In the beginning of 1972 this requirement became effective for trucks. In 1986 General Motors started installing lap seat belts with shoulder harness straps for rear outer seats.
