Seat Belts For:

1953-66 Mercedes


The seat belts listed within this section have been designed based on the original style where the buckle was a lift up release available with a bright chrome lid with a chrome underside. The anchor ends, where the belt attaches to the floor, are original style "sister hooks" on the front belts which attach to a floor mounted eyebolt and a direct to the floor type anchor end on the rear belts.

When installing seat belts where they were not previously installed it is suggested that a WSRB1 underbody reinforcement plate with attached weld nut be used for additional support to mounting points.The cost per pair of WSRB1 is $25.00.

To add retractability,a WSCR1 plastic or WS80296 original style metal clip on webbing retractors are available.The cost per WSCR1 is $9.50ea and the WS80296 are $20.00ea.

Webbing Color Samples:

    Notes:
  • Column A should be used when installing in a Mercedes with both front and rear seats.The front belt is 74" long since in most cases the seat is higher off the floor than the rear seat which requires only a 60" long belt.
  • Column B should be used when installing in a Mercedes with front seats only.Belt length is 60".
