The Corvair seat belts styles listed include the following;
An original style non-retractable lap seat belt that has a metal to metal contact aviator type buckle with a bright chrome lift lid and a bright chrome underside. The floor mounting anchor ends are bright chrome fixed and bolt direct to the floor. The thread and any plastic pieces are color matched to the color of the webbing. In addition to the original webbing colors which were matched to the carpet, seat belts have been listed that have the webbing matched to the interior to offer more color choices than were originally available.One MH-4 bolt kit per seat belt is required for mounting.
A replacement style non-retractable lap seat belt with a chrome lift lid buckle and a chrome underside that is about 1/4" wider than the original aviator style. These replacement seat belts are available as a lap seat belt only or as a lap seat belt with an attached shoulder harness strap. To offer more webbing color choices than were originally available webbing colors are listed that have been matched to the carpet and to an interior color. In most cases the thread is black regardless of the webbing color. The anchor ends are a fixed gold chromate color and bolt directly to the floor. The lap seat belt with shoulder harness require one MH9 bolt kit with shoulder bolts and the lap seat belt only requires one MH2 bolt kit for mounting. The lap seat belt and the lap seat belt with harness match in style and color so that the lap seat belt with harness can be used in the front and the lap seat belt only can be used in the rear.
A modern style non-retractable lap seat belt that can be used in the front or the rear.All of the plastic pieces are black regardless of the webbing color except for the red push on the buckle button. One MH-2 bolt kit is required per seat belt for mounting.
To add retractability to a lap seat belt a chrome metal original style Roll-A-Belt(Item Number 80296) and a black plastic replacement(Item Number CR1) clip on webbing retractor are available.
When installing a seat belt where it was not previously installed or if the factory underbody or shoulder harness reinforcement plates are damaged or missing it is suggested that a RB1 underbody or RB3 shoulder harness reinforcement plate with attached weld nut be used to add support to all of the mounting points.
Webbing colors tend to vary from mill run to mill run therefore a match to upholstery or carpet can not be guaranteed.
