Seat Belts For:

1955-57 Chevrolet

The seat belts offered for 1955 thru 1957 Chevrolets are manufactured using the original style aviator lift up seat buckle design with a polished satin finished lid and a bright chrome buckle underside.The buckle lid latch is spring hinged with metal to metal contact and mounts to the floor with chrome anchor ends.The seat belt webbing length adjustability is pull thru on the buckle side of the belt.

When seat belts first became available in Chevrolet products,as a dealer installed options,the color selection was limited to three or four colors with the webbing matching or corresponding to the carpet color rather than colors used in the multi-colored interiors.To offer a greater selection,seat belt are now available with webbing matching either the colors used in the multi-colored interior or to the carpet color.

When installing seat belts where they were not previously installed it is suggested that a WSRB1 underbody reinforcement plate with attached weld nut be used for additional support to mounting points.The cost per pair of WSRB1 is $25.00.

To add retractability,a WSCR1 plastic or WS80296 original style metal clip on webbing retractors are available.The cost per WSCR1 is $9.50ea and the WS80296 are $20.00ea.

Plastic covers are available in black,medium blue,burgundy,medium gray and tan for $10.00ea that snap over the anchor end bolt and cover the bolt head and anchor end for a finished look.Part number WSC10.Specify color when ordering.

Webbing Color Samples:
