When installing a seat belt where it was not previously installed or if the factory underbody or shoulder harness reinforcement plates are damaged or missing it is suggested that a RB1 underbody and/or RB3 shoulder harness reinforcement plate with attached weld nut be used to add support to all of the mounting points.

Webbing colors tend to vary from mill run to mill run therefore a match to upholstery or carpet can not be guaranteed.

1964-67 Aviator Lift Buckle Original Style Lap Seat Belts


The buckle design is the original aviator style with metal to metal contact with a bright chrome spring hinged lift lid and a bright chrome buckle underside. The floor mounting end fittings are bright chrome and bolt directly to floor. Seat belts are available with webbing colors matched to an interior or carpet color. One MH4 bolt kit is required per seat belt for mounting.A plastic paintable cover(Item Number Series CVR) that snaps on to the mounting bolt to cover both the bolt head and the anchor end fitting for a finished look and clip on webbing retractors which add retractability to a non-retractable lap belt are available.

    1968-72 Chevelle Coupe/El Camino Retractable Lap With Harness Kits


    Replace a damaged or missing factory installed retractable lap belt and independant shoulder harness or upgrade to a combined retractable lap belt with an attached shoulder harness in a 1968-72 Chevelle coupe or a 1968-72 El Camino. These replacement seat belt car sets include the belts and mounting hardware for the drivers and passengers side and are available for both bench and bucket seats. Matching non-retractable lap seat belts that can be used in a front center position of a bench seat or in all rear positions are also available.

    The combined lap belt with shoulder harness utilize a web sensitive emergency locking type retractor which allows for some movement within the vehicle but locks on a pre-design tension. The seat belt kits are available with a standard style plastic covered pushbutton with a 8 1/2" shoulder harness extension(as shown in picture) or with a deluxe all metal buckle with a starburst design on the buckle and a 2 1/2" shoulder harness extension. The shoulder harness strap mounting anchor plate included with all sets uses only one of the original factory mounting holes. A retrofit bracket (RB12) is available that converts the two factory mounting holes to a single stud for those that want to utilize both of the original mounting points. In some it will be necessary to re-use the original shoulder harness mounting bolts or to obtain a mounting bolt smaller than the one provided.
