1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 Chevrolet Corvette replacement non retractable lap seat belts and retractable lap seat belts with shoulder harness with webbing colors to match most original and aftermarket interior colors. The seat belt buckles choices include an all metal OEM style push button with a starburst or GM logo on the press area. The retractors are web sensitive (ELR)emergency locking which will allow for some movement once buckled in position and lock on sudden movement.

All of the seat belts and related hardware are new and manufactured to meet or exceed FMVSS (U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) 209 and 302 with all of the seat belts manufactured or assembled in the USA..

Replacement Non Retractable Lap Seat Belt


1978-82 Corvette replacement non retractable lap seat belt sized specifically to fit a Corvette. The adjustable latch side of these Corvette replacement seat belts do not include the provision for a shoulder harness. The adjustable latch side adjusts from 5" to 53" long and the fixed inner buckle side is 9" long with the webbing covered by a hard plastic sleeve. The buckle design is an OE style all metal with starburst logo on the press area. The floor end fittings have a 1/2" bolt hole. When replacing or adding an underbody reinforcing plate order one 201K-Z retrofit mounting kit per seat belt which includes universal underbody reinforcing plates and zinc chromate bolts and lock washers.

    Retractable Lap With Shoulder Harness


    1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982 Corvette retractable lap seat belt with attached shoulder harness strap in the original configuration that installs using the original mounting locations. The available buckles include an OEM style all metal push button with a starburst or GM logo on the press area.A car set includes the retractable lap seat belt with attached shoulder harness and the inner buckle side for both the driver and passenger.

    Mounting Hardware Information
  • A car set mounting kit installs both drivers and passenger side seat belts.
  • When underbody reinforcing plates are missing a retrofit mounting kit which includes universal underbody reinforcing plates and mounting hardware can be used. One per car set. Mounting kits are not required when ordering.

    Retractor Information
  • Bare retractors can be used to replace a damaged original when the webbing is to be re-used.
  • Bare retractors include a small amount of webbing in order to maintain tension.
  • Care should be taken when removing and transferring webbing and should be done by a professional.
  • Webbing, web stop and latch end chrome are not included.
  • Bare retractors are sold not returnable.
