1974-77 Corvette Seat Belts

1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977 Chevrolet Corvette coupe and convertible replacement non retractable lap seat belts and retractable lap seat belts with or with out a shoulder harness available with a standard or an all metal OEM style push button buckle. Available as a complete car set or as individual components with webbing colors to match most interiors.The lap seat belt retractors are automatic locking (ALR) which lock in place when pulled to the desired position and released. The shoulder harness retractors are web sensitive emergency locking (ELR) which allow for some movement and will lock on a sudden movement or pre-designed tension.

All of the seat belts and related hardware listed are new and manufactured to meet or exceed FMVSS (U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) 209,302 and SAE 386 with most manufactured or assembled in the USA..


1974 to 1977 Corvette replacement non retractable lap seat belts sized to fit a Corvette.These are not a universal fit seat belt where the inner buckle side is to long making it difficult to tighten. The adjustable latch side of these Corvette replacement seat belts when fully extended measures approximately 53" long and will adjust down to 5" long. The inner buckle side measures approximately 9" long with the webbing covered with a hard plastic sleeve like the original configuration.

  • Does not include the provision to add a shoulder harness.

    Mounting Hardware Information;
  • If a factory underbody reinforcing plate is damaged or missing order one RB1-1 universal reinforcing plate and MH1-1 bolt per location.
  • When re-using the factory underbody reinforcing plates order one 8239 bolt kit per two lap seat belts.

    1974 and 1975 Corvette Convertible Lap Belt And Lap Belt With Shoulder Harness

    1974 Corvette convertible and 1975 Corvette convertible replacement car sets that include the retractable side and the inner buckle side for the driver and passenger that are available with or with out the independent retractable shoulder harnesses that attaches to a stud on the retractable chrome latch end.     Specifications:
  • Mounts in the original factory configuration and uses the factory mounting points.
  • The inner buckle side is 9" long with the webbing covered with a color matched hard plastic sleeve.
  • If not re-using an original shoulder harness web stop boot which was installed after the shoulder harness end was feed thru the seat back a black web stop boot is available.
  • The web stop boot located behind the retractable side chrome latch end is black regardless of the webbing color.
  • Web stop boots can be painted to match an interior.

    Mounting Hardware Information:
  • If a factory lap seat belt underbody reinforcing plate is damaged or missing order one RB1-1 universal underbody reinforcing plate and one MH1-1 bolt per location.
  • When re-using the factory lap seat belt underbody reinforcing plates order one 8239 bolt kit per lap seat belt(W8125 Series) car set or one 8223 bolt kit per lap seat belt with shoulder harness(W8127 Series) car set.

    1974-77 Corvette Coupe Retractable Lap Belt With Shoulder Harness Car Sets

    . 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977 Corvette coupe rretractable lap seat belt with shoulder harness available with a single combined retractable lap seat belt with shoulder harness with a 2" shoulder harness webbing drop down bracket or a factory original style shoulder harness webbing drop down bracket and a OE style dual retractor configuration with a seperate lap seat belt and separate attached shoulder harness retractor with an OE style shoulder harness webbing drop down bracket.

    The inner buckle side included with all of the styles is approximately 9" long with an OEM style all metal buckle.

    Available in car sets which include the seat belts and inner buckle side for both the driver and passenger and driver or passenger side with inner buckle side only.Call for pricing and availablility for individual driver or passenger side in styles and colors not listed.


    W8444 Series Specifications:
  • Has a 2" replacement style shoulder harness webbing drop down bracket with cover.

    1974 to 1977 Partial Components And Related

    The following 1974 to 1977 partial components and related items are compatible with factory original Corvette seat belts and factory original underbody reinforcing plates.

    1974 and 1975 Convertible Shoulder Harness Information(W8128 Series):
  • Has the provision to attach on to the stud on an original retractable chrome latch end.
  • Can be used to add the optional shoulder harness(A85 option) to an original Corvette lap seat belt.
  • Can be used to replace a damaged original 1974 and 1975 Corvette convertible shoulder harness.
  • When not re-using an original web stop boot which was installed after the shoulder harness chrome end was feed thru the seat back a black web stop(W8170-01) boot is available.

    1974 and 1975 Convertible Retractable Side Information(W8002 Series):
  • Includes a color matched web stop boot.
  • Can be used to replace a missing or damaged factory original.
  • Has the stud that is required to attach a factory shoulder harness.

    Mounting Hardware Information:
  • The mounting hardware is replacement style and to be used with factory underbody reinforcement plates only.
  • A car set mounting kit will install both the driver and passenger seat belts.

    Misc Information:
  • Bare retractors are used to replace a damaged original if the webbing is to be reused.
  • The bare retractors have a small amount of webbing on them in order to maintain the tension.
  • Care should be taken when removing and transfer webbing and should only be done only by trained proffesional.
  • Webbing, web stop and end chrome are not included with a bare retractor.
  • Bare retractors are sold not returnable.
  • Buckle sides with GM buckle are available with or with out a W8172-01 black webbing sleeve.
